This shawl holds a lot of "firsts" and that is why I love it very much:
- it is the first big garment I made (other than scarves and beanies),
- the first time I used the magnificent Katia darling yarn,
- my first attempt to read a charted crochet pattern,
- the first (of the three) south bay sawlettes that I made,
- the first delicate garment that I did put in the washing machine (and came out almost better that before!)
